Geraldton Auskick Coordinator

The Midwest Gascoyne and Murchison Regional Football Development Council are currently looking for the services of a motivated person to take the role of Auskick Co-Ordinator for the upcoming season in 2012.

Auskick will be run for the entirety of the second school term every Saturday morning with the first session beginning at 8.30am and the second session beginning at 9.30am.

Skills Required

  • Must be a Level 1 accredited coach (if not course will be provided for the successful applicant)
  • Ability to lead parents
  • Ability to adapt to any task required
  • Must be well organised and efficient
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiastic
  • Ability to have fun
  • Efficient money handling skills

Duties

  • Be the first point of call for any NAB AFL Auskick enquiries
  • Receive registration forms and money and report to Midwest Regional Football Development Manager
  • Complete necessary documentation including registration forms and receipts for moneys paid
  • Efficiently manage the Geraldton NAB AFL Auskick centre
  • Facilitate participation by parents
  • Ensure that the NAB AFL Auskick centre is inclusive and has an open and welcoming attitude to all potential participants
  • Develop community links
  • Maintain a database of children including payment details and the number of Auskick packs distributed
  • Distribute Auskick packs at end of program to children
  • Direct coaching aspects of the NAB AFL Auskick session to the leader coaches and helper coaches
  • Provide guidance to the NAB AFL Auskick volunteers
  • Offer advice and encouragement to parent volunteers and children
  • Assist with the conduct of AFL Auskick rules matches
  • Set up and pack away Auskick goals and other resources on the Saturday morning

NOTES

  • Assistance will be provided by the Midwest Gascoyne Murchison Regional Football Development Manager
  • Access to the Geraldton NAB AFL Auskick site and Sporting Pulse site will be provided to the successful applicant to monitor all registrations and payments
  • Training will be provided by the Regional Football Development Manager to work through websites
  • All Auskick resources (Footballs, Goals, Bibs, Timer and Stationery etc.) will be provided by the Midwest Gascoyne Murchison Regional Football Development Manager
  • Auskick sessions will be conducted at the Utakarra Ball Park on Saturday mornings. The season will start Saturday the 28th April and finish on Saturday the 30th June which is 10 consecutive weeks.

CONDITIONS OF HONORARY POSITION

  • Honorarium (Salary) will be discussed by the Midwest Gascoyne Murchison Regional Football Development Manager and the successful applicant. It will be paid by cheque after the completion of the Auskick season.
  • Working with Children clearance required to be submitted to Midwest Gascoyne Murchison Regional Football Development Manager before undertaking duties (RDM to keep on file)
