THE Australian Football Coaches Association hosted its first coaching seminar for the year at Subiaco Oval recently, with Geelong Skills Coach David Wheadon (pictured) sharing some of his expertise with 50 local coaches from a range of competitions.Wheadon focussed on training techniques for coahces and provided a wonderful insight into challenging and provoking coaches to get the best out of themselves and their players.
The AFCA seminars will continue as a monthly series until August, with the next scheduled for April 19 featuring special guest, West Coast Eagles development coach Gavin Bell.
Subsequent seminars will include guest speakers Barry Mitchell from Fremantle Football Club, West Coast's Michael Broadbridge and Australian Institute of Sport coach Jason McCartney.
