$1,500 prize for local clubs thanks to new Landmark sponsorship

Local clubs are a vital part of healthy, thriving regional areas and those clubs need financial support to remain viable.

The Dowerin GWN Field Days Committee has recognised this and has designed a new event which – thanks to sponsorship funding from Landmark – has a $1,500 cash prize for the winning club in the Landmark Tractor Pull.

Hamish O’Brien, Landmark Sales and Operations Director, West Division said, “Landmark is proud to be a long-standing partner of the Dowerin GWN Field Days and now, we are injecting vital new funds that not only increase the fun and entertainment at the field days, but also inject some much-needed funding into the local community. ”

The Landmark Tractor Pull is a fun event for local clubs to compete in.  In the inaugural year local footy clubs are being invited to participate.  It is envisaged that in future years the event will be opened up to a broad range of clubs and community groups.

“Landmark has sponsored country football with $1.3 million over 36 years because we know that it is highly valued by the communities in which we work.  It’s great to know that this year a footy club will benefit even more directly from our sponsorship support,” Hamish O’Brien said.

“Landmark’s partnership with the Dowerin Machinery Field Days also gives us the opportunity to catch up with, and say thank you to, valued customers and friends who come together for this very special annual event.

“We’re confident that the Landmark Tractor Pull will continue to grow year by year as we open it up to other community groups and add other elements. Make sure you stop by this year and check it out for yourself.”

Meet Justin Langer 10.30pm to 11.00pm and again at 3.30pm to 4.00pm, next to the North Bar

The Landmark Tractor Pull will be launched by world class cricketer Justin Langer, who will also be available for autographs, photographs and to discuss his new book, “Australia, you Little Beauty.”

Justin will also mingle with over 100 of Landmark’s VIP clients at an exclusive function at the Dowerin Town Hall on Wednesday 25th Aug from 4.30pm to 8.30pm.

One lucky customer will take home a cricket bat autographed by Justin, plus we have other prizes and giveaways.

The WA Country Football Association will be on site alongside the Landmark Tractor Pull to run free AFL Handball clinics for kids.
