The game was played as the curtain raiser to the Adelaide v Port Adelaide round 19 AFL match.
WA made a strong start to lead by a goal at quarter-time before SA hit back in the second term to level the scores at the main break.
Inaccurate kicking proved costly for WA in the third quarter as SA booted 4.1 to WA’s 1.6 to set up a handy 13-point lead heading into the final term.
SA added another six goals in the last quarter to secure a 31-point win after outscoring WA 10 goals to four in the second half.
