WEMBLEY Downs Junior Football Club in the Claremont District has received a Bronze Award in the West Australian Football Commission’s new Quality Club Program.
The concept of the Quality Club Program is to provide an opportunity for all community football clubs in WA to achieve a minimum standard of club administration and to recognise and reward clubs for their achievements in reaching these.
Clubs can achieve the three levels of Bronze, Silver and Gold, with Bronze representing a base level commitment to providing a quality club environment for players, spectators, parents, coaches and umpires.
Club presidents have reported that the Quality Club Program had provided clubs with the opportunity to become more organized and more structured, and ensured all volunteers had an improved understanding of their roles and the future direction of the club.
Following the initial pilot phase of the program, the WAFC now has more than 210 clubs engaged in the program across WA and looks forward to announcing the first Gold level clubs.
