NAB AFL Auskick Ambassador Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico has arrived in Western Australia to kick off his three-day NAB AFL Auskick Roadshow Visit from March 1 to 3.
Dipper will visit schools in the East Perth District from 1pm to 4.15pm this afternoon (Tuesday, March 1) including St Peter’s Catholic College, Bedford, and Camboon Primary School in Noranda.
Tomorrow, Dipper will visit primary schools and junior football clubs in the Perth and West Perth Districts before heading to an Auskick Coordinators meeting in Mandurah.
His visit will culminate on Thursday with a District Auskick Launch at Claremont Oval from 9.30am to 11.30am and more school visits in the South Fremantle District.
NAB AFL Auskick is the AFL’s key introductory program for primary-school aged boys and girls and their families. Dipper and his team of NAB AFL Auskick volunteers will provide fundamental instructions and techniques to improve kid's handballing and kicking skills along with a range of other skills important in playing Australian Football.
Children registered in Auskick have the opportunity to be the 2011 NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year. Twenty-two nominees will receive a money-can’t buy experience attending the 2011 Toyota AFL Grand Final. The overall winner will receive a $5000 NAB Smart Junior Saver account and Cat’s star Joel Selwood as their mentor in 2012. To enter visit nab.com.au/auskick
