Patersons Stadium launched a new SMS system in Round One of the 2011 AFL season. Branded ‘SMS Your SOS’, the new SMS system is designed to allow patrons to discreetly and anonymously report any disturbances or issues via SMS from their seat.
In previous years patrons have had to approach a staff member in order to report any issues, which the staff member would then pass through to event management. This SMS system will now make it easier for patrons to report issues and allow stadium managers to act on the report effectively and efficiently.
Patersons Stadium General Manager Gavin Taylor said the ‘SMS Your SOS’ concept would allow Patersons Stadium to effectively respond to customer feedback on issues such as addressing fans that may have become intoxicated or unruly in the stadium or simple issues such as damage to a patrons seat.
“The key benefit of the technology is that customers can provide feedback discretely, with all customer feedback to receive a response from venue management,” Mr Taylor said.
“The West Australian Football Commission strives to provide customers with a safe and enjoyable experience at Patersons Stadium. SMS your SOS is an exciting new feature of the Patersons Stadium operations that will assist in achieving this outcome.”
The number to ‘SMS Your SOS’ is 0408 602 464.
