Design a Football Jumper Competition (conducted March to April)
- Design a new jumper for the school football team
- Use local landmarks, school ethos, population, location etc
- The 2 major prizes are a set of jumpers in the winning design presented to the winning schools (one country, one metro)

Freo Dockers Cup (conducted May to August)

FORMAT
- Open to all primary schools across the state
- Can be run in two formats:
- A "round robin" competition played between schools over a minimum of three weeks.
or - A "one day" Lightning Carnival organised by the schools in their District/or one coordinated by their WAFL District.
RESOURCES
- Freo Dockers Cup Match Ball at the commencement of the competition
- Freo Dockers Cup participation certificates and Freo Dockers posters
- A Freo Dockers Cup for each division winner
- Each coordinator will receive a Freo Dockers Cup Cap
- WAFL players (If available) to umpire games and assist with the presentations
- The chance to play a game as the curtain raiser to the Fremantle v Western Bulldogs game on Sunday 8 July
- The chance to have players attend their school to conduct a training session for their Freo Dockers Cup team
Please note coordinators should contact their WAFC Football Development Officer to organise umpire support. The District will endeavor to provide umpires but this may not be possible for all carnivals. For more information regarding the “Freo Dockers Cup” contact your WAFC Football Development Officer.
Freo Dockers Shield (conducted May to August)

FORMAT
To maintain consistency please ensure these standards:
- The games are played under the “AFL Junior Rules” for children aged 11 and 12 years.
- The Carnival Shield to be awarded to the school that accumulates the most points based on the following criteria:
Game: Win 3 points
Draw 2 Points
Lose 1 point
Uniform: Score out of 3
Behaviour Score out of 3
(On and off the field)
1 point deducted for each player sent off the field
Please note: Coordinators should contact their WAFC Football Development Officer to organise umpires. The district will endeavor to provide umpires but this may not be possible for all carnivals.
- Emphasis on enjoyment, participation and skill learning.
RESOURCES
Schools who play under the Freo Dockers Shield Lightning Carnival format will receive:
- A Freo Dockers Shield for each division winner
- WAFL players (If available) to umpire games and assist with the presentations
- Participation Certificates and posters for all participants
- Two Freo Dockers Shield training balls

Eagles Cup (conducted May to August)

FORMAT
- Inter school competition
- Year 6/7 students
- Over a minimum of three weeks
Schools without year 7 students on campus will participate as normal. Secondary schools with year 7 students on campus can have their own "All year 7" competition or join a primary school division that has year 7 students participating. For further information contact your WAFC Football Development Officer.
RESOURCES
- An Eagles Cup junior league match ball
- Eagles Cup participation certificate and Eagles poster
- An Eagles Cup trophy for each division winner
- A West Coast Eagles player will present the Eagles Cup trophy (metro only) to winning schools at an assembly
- West Coast Eagles Promotional Packs for incentives or awards
- Eagles Cup information booklet prior to commencement of competition.

All school clinics are a free service to the schools and are conducted by accredited personnel who have been in serviced and hold police clearances and valid Working with Children checks. All equipment is supplied.
