THE results of the elections for Commissioners of the West
Australian Football Commission were endorsed by the Nominee Members of the WAFC
(AFL and WAFL Clubs) at a meeting on Tuesday, December 1. The results were:

FRANK COOPER – Reappointed for a 3-year term from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2012. Currently WAFC Deputy Chair and Chair of the Finance Committee, Frank has been a Commissioner since 1.1.07. He served on the Fremantle FC Board in 2002 and is a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

PETER GIBBONS – Reappointed for a 3-year term from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2012. Currently Chair of the Facilities Working Party, Peter has been a Commissioner since 1.1.07
MURRAY McHENRY - Appointed for a 3-year term from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2012. Murray is well known to football and served as a Director and Chairman of West Coast.
JEANETTE HACKET - Appointed for a 2-year term from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2011. Professor Hacket is the Vice Chancellor of Curtin University.

ROB McKENZIE – Reappointed for a 1-year term from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2010. Currently Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee and a member of the Football Affairs Committee, Rob has been a Commissioner since 1.1.07. He served as a member of the West Coast Eagles Board 1999-2004 and the IPL Board 1994-99 and is Executive Director of McKenzie Moncrieff Lawyers.
WAFC Chairman Neale Fong paid tribute to retiring Commissioner Ross Kelly, past President of Fremantle Football Club and current Chairman of Clontarf Football Academy.
“Ross has made a tremendous contribution during his eight years as a Commissioner and I am sure football will continue to benefit from his involvement," Mr Fong said.
"With the re-election of three retiring Commissioners providing great stability and the new appointments broadening the skill set of the Board we are well equipped to tackle the challenges ahead with energy and enthusiasm.”
