FORMER Collingwood player Leon Davis is returning to his WAFL club of origin after agreeing to terms for a two year contract on Tuesday, December 13.
Perth CEO Brian Leys said the club was delighted that Davis had decided to return to the Demons, where he started his senior football career back in 1999 and played 10 league games before being drafted by Collingwood with pick No.34 in the 1999 National Draft.
Davis, 30, went on to play 225 games for Collingwood and kick 270 goals after making his AFL debut in Round 1, 2000.
“Leon is obviously a sensational player and we are thrilled that he has decided to return to our club. He will add tremendous talent and experience to our playing group and we are looking forward to seeing him back in the red and black,” Mr Leys said.
Davis is worth the minimum one point under the WAFL’s player points system as an AFL player returning to his WAFL club of origin.
