Why become a Coach?
Develops you personal skills
Coaching enables you to develop planning, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with younger children and their parents.
Enjoyment and satisfaction
Great job and satisfaction can be felt when you know you have had a significant part to play in a child's development, not just through football but life skills as well. It is well known that the coach is one of the most influential people in a child's life.
Be part of the change
Participation in women's and girl's football as grown significantly since the birth of AFLW, but there's still work to be done in the coaching community. From community level, through the talent pathway and all the way up to AFLW there are women kicking goals in coaching, but we need to do more.
Who can Coach?
Everyone can coach as long as they 16 years of age or older.
