West Australian Football Commission Election for 2021 CommissionersWednesday, October 14, 2020 - 10:05 AM

As at 4pm Friday 25 September, at the close of the Expressions of Interest for Commissioners, the WAFC had received 23 EOIs. EOIs were received from the following candidates (listed in alphabetical order):

Steve Allan, Ian Callahan, Andrew Chapman, Gordon Cole, Grant Dorrington, Catherine Ferrari, Neale Fong, Benjamin Haywood, Carolyn Hills, Phil Lamb, Gavin Maisey, Daryl Marron, Dixie Marshall, Nicole Moody, Bellamore Ndayikeze, Allan Oakes, Brian O’Donnell, Gareth Parker, David Parkinson, Dale Pinto, Clare Pope, Allan Stiles and Robert Sullivan

Friday 2 October 2020

Distribution of Expressions of Interest to WAFC Nomination Committee, eligible Ordinary and Nominee Members and Affiliated Associations.

List of candidate names placed on the WAFC website.

Thursday 15 October 2020

WAFC Nomination Committee (comprising representatives of the WAFC, West Coast Eagles, Fremantle Football Club, WAFL Council of Presidents and the Community Football Advisory Council) meets to consider the Expressions of Interest and make recommendations to the Commission regarding a short-list of candidates.  WAFC Chair, Wayne Martin will chair this committee.

Wednesday 21 October 2020

Eligible members of the WAFC Board meet to consider the recommendations of the Nomination Committee and endorse candidates to be included on the ballot paper to be voted on by the eligible Ordinary and Nominee Members and Affiliated Associations.

Friday 23 October 2020

Ballot papers and Notice of Meeting for the Football Forum distributed to Members and Affiliated Associations.

Monday 26 October 2020 to Tuesday 17 November 2020

Opportunity for Nominee Members, eligible Ordinary Members and Affiliated Associations to meet (interview) all endorsed candidates, including Commissioners seeking re-election, at a meeting to be scheduled sometime between Monday 26 October and Tuesday 17 November 2020 (specific date/time to be determined).

Friday 27 November 2020 – 12.00pm

Deadline for receipt of postal votes.

Wednesday 2 December 2020 – 5.30pm (venue WAFC Cafeteria)

Football Forum – Nominee Members to vote by secret ballot on the appointment of the applicants who were successful in the postal vote. Vote counts to be undertaken by the Returning Officer and results announced at the meeting.
