Round 14 WAFLW PreviewFriday, May 20, 2022 - 1:22 PM - by Chris Pike

ONE of Peel Thunder or Swan Districts will further consolidate a finals position when they battle in Round 14 of the 2022 WAFLW season while South Fremantle and Subiaco face differing challenges to try and keep their hopes alive.

There are three more matches in Round 14 of the 2022 WAFLW season as the battle for finals positions heats up in the final run of the campaign.

The Round 14 action gets underway on Saturday afternoon at Mandurah's Lane Group Stadium with Peel Thunder hosting Swan Districts from 2.30pm.

Peel comes into the game in third position on the WAFLW ladder at 5-5 while Swan Districts sit fourth at 5-6.

The winner will go a long way to securing a finals spot for 2022 while the loser will remain vulnerable to the chasing back over the final month of the home and away season.

The other two Round 14 matches take place on Sunday starting at Revo Fitness Stadium with Claremont playing South Fremantle from 12pm.

The Tigers sit three games clear in second position at 8-2 and will all but secure a top-two finish with a win on Sunday while if the Bulldogs are able to pull off the upset to improve on their 4-7 record, they remain a chance of reaching finals for the first time in 2022.

The round will then wrap up at Leederville Oval with Subiaco hosting West Perth from 2pm.

The Lions are fresh off their best win of the season last week against Swan Districts to improve to 4-6 on the season to remain a chance of sneaking into the finals still if they can string some wins together starting on Sunday against the still winless Falcons.
